Best Practices, This takes about 3 hours

1. While you are doing the steps below,  delete from your online profiles any old addresses or phone numbers that you don’t recognize
2. Freeze Credit all three accounts (60 min)    transunion, exerion, exquifax
3. Check your credit score (free) on all three accounts.  Review open accounts.    Add alerts that send you email when things change in future  (alerts are now free) (30min to setup)
4. Turn on 2 factor authentication for all finance and email accounts (60 min).  Add email alerts  for logons from new devices and large withrdrawls.  look under “sercurity” or “notififcatinos”
5. Use different passwords on all your finance account / email and apple ID.  This way if a hacker gets into one,   he doesn’t get into all   (30 min)
6. Store your passwords in an app or in a spreadsheet that is password locked.
7. Use different credit card for online purchases and in person purchases.  leave the “online card” at home.    This makes the online easier to check and verify
8.  Use services like onedrive/dropbox to store files and pictures.  Don’t keep any valuable files on your devices  local hard drive.
9. Buy extra icloud storage,    have it auto-backup your phone and pictures stored on your phone
10. Go through your password list and visit all the accounts you don’t use anymore,  delete credit cards and shut the account if possible
11. When you do the credit check, experian has a free darkweb search.  it will show you all of your information that is available for sale on the darkweb,  shut all these accounts down
